I am really thinking about & considering purchasing the Uniden BCD536HP Digital Scanner to make a big upgrade for myself & my area where I live from my current Uniden BCT15X Analog Only Scanner that does not do me much good anymore these days thanks to the new digital & encrypted world of radios used by all or most agencies these days in most or all 48 states.

However, if I do finally upgrade & purchase the Uniden BCD536HP Digital Scanner, what's the best & the most reliable scanner programming software to use for it out of 3? The first one being the Uniden Sentinel Software that comes with & is included with the BCD536HP. The second being the Butel ARC536 Software. The last one being the Scancat-Lite-Plus software.

I didn't know Scan Cat Lite would program the xHP scanners, but see where it does. I've used it in the past for other scanners, but it wasn't my main "work horse".

I have used both Sentinel and ARC 536 Pro. Sentinel does a better job at some things as compared to ARC and ARC does other things better as compared to Sentinel.

So which I use depends on what I'm trying to do.

However, I have to be sure I keep my files coordinated. If I do something in ARC, such as center-justify alpha tags, I have to remember to read what I did in Sentinel, and save the file.
