Whistler TRX-2 LMPD

I'm going to guess that LMPD is a simulcast system... good luck copying anything with the TRX-2. You may be able to copy something if you isolate a single tower, but my TRX-2 was unusable with the simulcast system in my area.

I had the same issues on WS1040 with LMPD it’s probably the simulcast as previously stated your best bet is to looking into a Yagi antenna or as Lebrunmn said to isolate the signal to one tower
The MetroSafe System is like 13 sites/towers and is pretty fussy when it comes to reception. I can be in one place and hear it fine, move 100 yards and hear nothing. The best reception I got was when I had a bad antenna cable.

Best bet is to not use a Whistler and get a simulcast ready device/pager. You could try a Yagi but it's never worked for me anywhere.

I second this advice... since purchasing my G5, I've never looked back.
My WS1080 sits here unused, just an overly priced WX radio now. The Unication pagers are perfect for P25. That doesn't help you so the only advice is to get a Yagi with at least 10db of gain. Forget mobile reception with the Whistlers too. Not a chance on P25
I used a WS1040 on MetroSafe and it worked well at home but on the move it didn’t work at all. I bought a G4 and I couldn’t be more happy I can go anywhere and it will stay strong
