Can the receivers not be programmed with other methods which don't rely on the Whistler servers?
Reading these forums, you would think not. I've been running 5 TRX-1s since 2016 and never used the database but the majority of users seem incapable of programming their scanners without major assistance.

OK, my 2 cents worth. I live within 2 miles of BestNest and pass by several days every week. The location was formerly a FastTrack warehouse where one bought surplus goods from Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Spent a lot of time in there wandering the aisles looking for my goods :). Wonder if it would be useful to stop and ask to meet Ben?

Yes, you can load up the old fashioned way by loading into the software and writing to the radio. Just can't update firmware etc.... And can't do a drop in from dB as it's extremely ood at this point.
