Whistler WS1065 Programming Question

On my Uniden BCD996P2, I can (and do) have one (1) set of talk groups and can use that one (1) set and program them to multiple sites.
Using one set takes up far less room then duplicating them for each site. So my question, is there a way to do the same thing on a Whistler WS1065?
I don't know (at this time) of any other way to ask this. I am using ARC500 programming software (preferred) but also have access to Win500.
Thanks in advance for any help in this direction...

I think you must duplicate them.

You could always add all sites with all talkgroups you wish to monitor as single system. Chose roam in the settings and scanner will lock onto the strongest control channel and you will receive the talkgroups using that site.

That is not necessary. Using a single system, put the control channel capable frequencies for the sites you wish to scan into the Frequency list (Up to 32) and set Multi-Site to Stationary. It will scan all of the sites and you will need to enter the talkgroups only once. You can set up multiple systems with each system using a different site if you want to be able to select sites. In that case, you would need to enter the talkgroups for each system. I have ARC500, Win500, and PSREdit500.

Thanks R, H & T for your responses. From your post T, there isn't a way to use one (1) set of tg's for multiple sites on my WS1065.
On my BCD996P2, I have 12 sites that use the same tg's and only use the one (1) set for all. Works great! Over 400 in this group. Having to duplicate these for each site in the WS1065 takes up a lot of room. Thanks again to all, much appreciated...

If Multi-Site is set to Roam, the scanner will stay on the site with the best signal. As you travel, it will switch to another site if it has a better signal. If Multi-Site is set to Stationary, it will scan all sites within range. Either way, you only need to enter the talkgroups once. There is no way to select a particular site or sites unless you set up multiple systems with each one using a different site. In that case, you will need to enter all of the talkgroups on each system. On the BCD996P2, you can assign a different system quick key to each site to select the site or sites you wish to scan.

You are asking about sites and a talkgroup. You didn't mention System, but all of your sites and talkgroups are normally within a System. A WS-1065 is most definitely capable of having the same talkgroup available on multiple sites within a system. And you can make sure your scanner scans every site for that talkgroup using the STAT mode described above. Or you can break up the system into multiple systems with one site each and your desired talkgroup, also described above.

Have you tried setting multi-site to STAT to see if it meets your needs? (You seem to be dismissing several responses that have suggested this solution on the GRE/Whistler scanners)
