Hi all - while I may have been a bit lax on keeping things up to date here, there's been several folks who have been anything but, and putting some serious time on the Wiki of late.

  • Cubn has added some data for the Champaign and Bloomington Il. regional wikis. He's also added a huge amount of data
    to our Sports article

  • j333_76484 has started up a project to monitor and document the
    Patuxent River Complex
in southern Maryland. It's a big place, though - if you'd like to help please jump into the
Patuxent River NAS thread on the Maryland forum

  • I've made various corrections to the Radio Shack scanner articles - the 20-289 serial cable is no longer either the RS or GRE
websites. I also added links to the WPAScanner Wiki's Fire Tone Out Tutorial to the BCT15 and BCD996 articles on our wiki

  • ExpeditionRadio has added a bunch of information regarding the use of
    ALE usage in ham radio
. This is a digital signalling mode that is much more widely used in the military - both
in the US and abroad - and has found its way to many other users.

  • RA5 has moved our PCR100 and PCR1000 articles to a more easily-located title.

Thanks to everyone who contributed! It's greatly appreciated by all the other users, myself included. 73s Mike

Problem with Wiki link at the top of the page, when I click it I get this:

MySQL functions missing, have you compiled PHP with the --with-mysql option?

My answer to that would be---Huh?

I have deleted the ScanningArkansas.com website. There were links to my reviews in the wiki that I removed. If you find anymore links to that website, please remove them as they will not work. I tried to find all that I could and removed the ones I saw.

I still have the reviews and would like to post them to the wiki but wanted to get Lindsay's permission first. I don't want them to go to waste as several people have emailed me saying they were useful.

Thanks,

Matt

Matt I wouldn't presume to speak for Lindsay, but just from my own point of view, go for it. Your reviews were indeed interesting and it would be a shame to lose them.

In addition your milair listings could also be loaded to the wiki.

Wiki pages with RR Wiki Extension embedded are not working the past few days...

Anybody got an update?

Went to check on some pages and most will not load. I made heavy use of the RR extensions on these pages.

Dunno Mike. Perhaps a note on the help desk is in order. I've noticed the same, but I've been kinda buried at work of late, and haven't had a moment to email Lindsay. I know he said he was working on some upgrades and having some issues (see thread above)

Hullo: I tried to send in a page for Hamilton Ontario Fleetnet tower.
I signed up for the wiki and tried to type out a helpful guide for area users.
When I attempted to submit I was not allowed to. I lost all the work I sent in I think.

Signing in was extremely slow.

I will attempt to do this again, hopefully I can load it on this site.

I tried again. I created a Word document, explained it and tried to upload it.
Apparently, word docs are not 'liked' here. Please tell me what format you would like the information to be on and I will try again.

Word documents can be used, but you must realize that all formatting would be lost. You can only use the editing section for the page you wish to build, you cannot just upload anything; so you can copy/paste into the editing section. When I build a page, I used word (for spelling & grammar) but then after copying into the edit section, I format it according to Wiki rules. See the Quick guide to editing pages.

Ty Lou.

I will try to figure out what you are saying. I have never done anything with wiki before.
