If NC Viper is 800 and your trunk lip mount is an NMO mount, then you should be in good shape.

I just switched (last week) to this antenna for 800Mhz reception. So far, I am happy. I have another on my roof for my cell booster and it has survived 3 or 4 Wyoming winters, so I think the build quality is OK.

It also seems OK on VHF, but not as good as an actual VHF tuned antenna.

But I would get it off Ebay. I found mine at some Ebay store in Texas. $14 and shipped for $0.99. Cheaper than the one you listed.
