1. No support.
2. Works like a stripped-down version of the PC version of Win500Client
3. Control of scanner not yet implemented Now it is
4. It is presumed that you know how to download a .CAB file, put it on your phone, and "install" it
5. No support

Requirements:
1. PocketPC device running Windows Mobile 5.0 or later
2. QVGA (240x320) display size, minimum
3. A network connection on the phone (ActiveSync, WiFi, a cellular data plan, etc)
4. .NET Compact Framework 3.5. If you don't have it, you can download/install it from Microsoft

Minimalist instructions:
1. Download the .CAB file
2. Copy the .CAB file to your PocketPC device
3. Install the .CAB file (i.e. by "clicking" on it in File Explorer on the PocketPC)
4. Run "Win500Client" from the Programs menu

This release is the result of some "goofing around" this past weekend with some new development tools. My "day job" has some pretty hectic deadlines approaching, so I won't be able to spend much time adding new features, fixing any found problems, etc. (this is why there is currently "no support"!).

This version has only been tested on an HTC Touch Pro and an HTC 6800 ("Mogul"). It has also been tested on a PPC "emulator" running WM5.0. The attached image is how it looks on my Touch Pro...

1. Treo Pro (Sprint) / WM6.1
2. Yes
3. Yes, I have also had luck using a program called "BlackMe" to shut off the back-light and keep the application alive and passing audio. (this saves battery of course)

Great program you wrote by the way. I know you said there was no support. But your program was the sole reason why I went with WM. I replaced my Treo 800 to the 850 for the better audio. And it's a great little toy with your app.

Got a HTC Ozone and would like to get Win500Client running

Got myself a deal on a HTC Ozone and want to monitor my 106 on the Win500Client. How do I go about doing this. Just learning this device and truly not as tech savvy as I thought:) Any help would be apprecriated.
TIA,
Larry

Download the .cab file to the phone. Click on it, let it install then open the program. Next you're going to have to set up the computer running WIN500 to pass audio and control over the internet by telling it what port you have set up for it to do this. Then in WIN500client settings enter your IP and that port number you set in WIN500, then click connect and away you go.

Also, I'm running WinMo 6.5(Mighty ROM6) on HTC touch Diamond and Win500 client works flawlessly. Thanks for the program Don.

Don, where do I find the .cab file. This is truly new territory for me:)

OK, senior moment. Found it in Don's first post on this subject. Which of the files do I load to the phone?
Put the .CAB file on the phone then, within something like WM's "File Explorer", navigate to and launch the .CAB file. That will install the app.
