Thank you for the update. I apologize for my mistake. They use the same type of unit numbers (1xx) and have a very similar parking lot naming scheme to WSSU, hence my confusion. I will get that corrected in the database. I guess they do not use Fleet Talk anymore. Like I said, it has been a very long time since I last tried monitoring FTCC.WSSU has not switched yet. No worries. FTCC Campus PD has actually been operating on the old WSFC 4.1 system since 2021.Thank you for the update. I apologize for my mistake. Edit: The admin has already corrected the DB entry.
I definitely prefer the calls because so much is missed with multiple channels. I see a Winston-Salem Police Dispatch on the scanner app, but there is no transmission of any type. The database has been updated, and the WSPD Calls feed is now available here: Winston-Salem Police Dispatch. It should also appear in the Scanner Radio app soon. Just make sure you select the Calls feed and not the old conventional feed that is just broadcasting silence at the moment.
It looks like another user just started up a new WSPD feed, so check that out as well if you prefer the conventional feed style over Calls. The advantage you get with Calls is that you will not miss transmissions that occur simultaneously on different talkgroups.
There should be two feeds by that name. One is the old conventional feed that needs to be taken offline, and the other is the calls feed. I able to listen to it via the app on my end.I definitely prefer the calls because so much is missed with multiple channels. The city and county use the same Tac channels now unlike with the old Smartzone system. Tac A-4, etc is the fire tac channels now.Hey!
Has anybody been able to find out what the Winston Salem Fire Talkgroups are going to be?
Thanks
David
I definitely prefer the calls feed so I don't miss anyone but I'm still not hearing anything on what I assume if the calls feed for the app. Works great on the website though. The database has been updated, and the WSPD Calls feed is now available here: Winston-Salem Police Dispatch. Winston-Salem Police Dispatch. Try this link. It works great for me, so I’m not sure why you aren’t hearing any traffic.I definitely prefer the calls feed so I don't miss anyone but I'm still not hearing anything on what I assume if the calls feed for the app. Works great on the website though.
That was not my submission, but I put in a submission a while back for those same talkgroups, plus a few others, that has yet to be worked. I indicated in said submission that TAC 4-6 are mostly encrypted. I have heard a few transmissions in the clear, but they are 99% encrypted. TG 2029-2031 are also fully encrypted and are possibly SID as radios I see on TGs I have verified as being SID also appear on those TGs.TG 2014, someone just submitted as WSPD TAC 6 appears to be partially or fully encrypted. The past few days have been very busy on this TG, all encrypted. TGs 2029 & 2031 appear to be fully encrypted and fall in the WSPD range as well.
🤦 Operator error on this end. Thanks, got it now.Winston-Salem Police Dispatch. Try this link. It works great for me, so I’m not sure why you aren’t hearing any traffic.
Actually, it appears as though the issue is with the Scanner Radio Pro version as it says it can't connect to the audio server. The basic version of Scanner Radio works fine.Winston-Salem Police Dispatch. Try this link. It works great for me, so I’m not sure why you aren’t hearing any traffic.
Actually, upon further testing, the link you posted which opened the basic scanner radio app is the only app that this feed works on. I even downloaded other apps to try but none do on that channel.Winston-Salem Police Dispatch. Try this link. It works great for me, so I’m not sure why you aren’t hearing any traffic.
The pro version of Scanner Radio is no longer supported from my understanding. It has all been integrated into a single app which may be why you are having issues. Other police scanner apps do not yet support Calls… Scanner Radio was the first to add some kind of Calls support.🤦 Operator error on this end. Thanks, got it now.
