Hi David,

Thanks for checking it over and sending the file! I want to preserve the favorites list profile file I have on the scanner now before checking out the file you sent, but I'm not quite sure what the best way to do that would be prior to checking the file you sent. I haven't gone that deeply into doing some of these things. Can you advise a procedure for me to preserve the favorites list profile file I'm using now, before checking out the favorites list profile file you sent? Would I just load the file you sent as a different favorites list profile name, something like "David's File" in the list of favorites list profiles?

Thanks again!

Randy

David,

I had been intending to work on getting you some UIDs, but I've been fighting some pretty awful side effects from chemo, and just haven't had a chance. I'm starting to normalize, and I'll try to get something to you as soon as possible, provided I continue to feel up to it. i start a different type of chemo on the 10th, so if I can get to it, I'll try to compile a file for you before then. So, I haven't done that before. How large of a file should I generate? Just wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten you...

Thanks. I really do not know. If you want to send it via Dropbox or what ever. When do just send me the link to them.

Good luck on the Chemo. WILL be praying for your recovery and of course your family as well.

Thanks David, it's all in God's/Jesus' hands, and that's my preference anyway...

Now, with regard to these recordings, and forgive me if you may have answered these questions before, if so, I can find no record of it. But, I assume I just press the RECORD button on the front keyboard of the SDS200. But, do I need to go into programming first to turn on UID Search Function for each Favorites List?

Then, once the week is up, how do I stop recording?

Will the recorded file be on the micro SD card, so I can retrieve it and send it to you?

Once I figure this out, I'll try sending you the file as often as I can.

Thanks!

Randy

You can Create a folder for the file and put them in the by moving them from the User Audio folder to the new folder.

At that's I do the ones from the #36hps and SDS 100.
Hope this helps.

I'm not sure it will even save the UIDs unless I turn on the UID Search Feature. I'll have to play with it, but last time I turned on the UID Search Feature, within the Favorites LIsts, I got some unidentified UIDs on the display, so I turned that feature off until I could figure out what was going on. I could tell it was an MSHP UID, and one of the members here ID'd it as a Motorist Assist vehicle UID.

Do you know if the "User Audio File" will be on the micro SD card, if not, where do I find it?

I believe if you hit the function key and the replay key. Then it will display a question about stopping or not (E=yes to stop or . = to not to stop the recording.
