I turned "ON" the Search feature to capture UIDs of all the P25 related favorites lists I have programmed into the Uniden BCD536HP, and I got kind of a weird circumstance on the BCD536HP readout. I have two particular towers programmed into the scanner for a particular agency, I receive traffic from Washington PD within the MOSWIN system, via the Weldon Spring and the St. Clair 700 towers. All of my favorites lists are individual agencies programmed into their own respective favorites lists.
Only one UID was ever captured on the readout on the scanner, UID #21911. I have only the TGID for Washington PD (TGID #4803) programmed into the Washington PD favorites list, and TGID #21911 is not a TGID programmed into the favorites list for Washington PD.
But ,the scanner showed TGID #21911 within the Washington PD favorites list whenever that particular TGID #21911 transmitted. It was picked up through the Weldon Spring Tower, and through the St. Clair 700 tower, just depending on which tower picked up the transmission in the scan sequence.
At the same time, when signals were received that were transmissions from Washington PD via the St. Clair 700 and the Weldon Spring towers, the SEARCH ID feature didn't display their UID #4803. Not only that, but I have the "SEARCH" feature turned on for other P25 systems in my BCD536HP, and no UIDs were ever decoded and displayed when traffic was received on the other P25 systems in my favorites lists, other than that one TGID #21911 on the Washington PD favorites list. The other P25 systems are part of S.L.A.T.E.R. (St Louis Area Trunked Emergency Radio) System, but no TGIDs were ever displayed there either.
I tried to identify TGID #21911, and could never officially ascertain where that TGID originates within documentation that I hoped would be within the MOSWIN information online. I know it was a Missouri State Highway Patrol TGID based on my experience listening to their transmissions, and because they always preface their traffic with their base station's location, Weldon Spring, before conversing with their units. When TGID #21911 called in, the base station identified when taking their traffic. Also, based on the tower site displays, I could see that the transmission were coming from Site ID 7-35 (St. Clair 700 tower) and site ID 5-16 (Weldon Spring Tower). The TGIDs for Washington PD are programmed into the scanner for Washington PD, but no UIDs for Washington PD were ever decoded and displayed on the scanner when Washington PD transmitted. But, normal traffic received will generally show the transmission coming from MSHP or Washington PD. In this case the scanner displayed Missouri Highway Patrol traffic as coming from Washington PD, very strange...
Question #1: Why is a TGID that isn't programmed for reception within the Washington PD favorites list being decoded and received?
Question #2: Why isn't the TGID #4803 that is programmed for reception under the Washington PD favorites list being decoded and displayed?
Question #3: Why are the other P25 systems programmed into their respective favorites lists not displaying TGIDs with the SEARCH IDs feature turned ON?
Question #4: Why is the scanner displaying Missouri Highway Patrol traffic as coming from Washington PD?
