There's a new Wise County license. I'm not sure what these are going to be used for, and I likely won't be able to hear them. If anyone out that way can help ID them, please chime in. Perhaps part of the P25 system?

FCC Callsign: WRVX289 (WISE, COUNTY OF)

I’ll keep an eye out. Wish Decatur would switch to the Trunked system already.

I have lost all of wise dispatch in the last month. Guessing since these were released. Programmed again yesterday using sentinel software. Still not getting wise. Any suggestions on what needs to be updated? Using a Uniden SDS200

Please export and attach your favorites list file so we can take a look at it. Go to the File tab in Sentinel and click on Export to hpe file (Favorites List). You will need to zip the exported file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file. This is the Wise County trunked system: Wise County P25 Trunking System, Wise County, Texas

Same here . I’m about 3 miles from sheriffs office as the crow flys . Lost all of the simulcast channels about a month ago . But I can hear all of Denton county simulcast just fine . Using a SDS200 . Every once in a while ( about once or twice a week ) I’ll hear a Wise county simulcast transmission it’ll last a minute or so . Their normal P25 channels I still receive ( Boyd , Rhome ) + the city of Decatur .

Glad to find out. I'm not the only one I ran an update on Sunday and did a firmware update on my scanner and still am getting nothing.
I added Parker County And i'm receiving them fine. All my others work. It's just wise county that's out.My mom has the same scanner and hers has lost them too. Hoping to get to the bottom of this

Let's hope everything isn't encrypted. It's possible that some new frequencies have been added to the site and one of them is being used as the control channel. I suggest doing a search and see if you can find another VHF control channel. It shouldn't be difficult to find since it would be up all of the time. You can also set the scanner to Ignore Site NAC in case it has changed.
System ID:
Sysid: 7B2 WACN: 12A8A
Site NAC:
7B2

Give it a listen to see if you hear a constant buzz.
I'm 80 miles away and normally can't receive it.
154.01 would be the first place to look if local people think the control channel changed and they can't receive the system any more.

Thanks for the info! There is a good chance that could be the problem. Hopefully, nealtrose or someone else close by will be able to check that.

It’s not supposed to be encrypted I’ve got a family member that works in dispatch and they said no but it had been discussed. I just now heard Bridgeport fire on Wise simulcast . First I’ve heard in a week . At this rate it maybe another week before I hear it again . But it does make me feel better at least I know it’s not the scanner .

I forgot to add that I have been talking to a guy that has a scanner group in Bridgeport (11 miles ) away . He says he’s not having any trouble . He has a local scanner group and post the major activity on FB Wise county scanner is the group .

Can you check 154.01 and see if that is now the control channel? Is the Site NAC still 7B2? Thanks!
I would if I could . I shelved my old HP2 and got this in Feb. It’s worked flawlessly up until a month ago and I haven’t touched anything or learned either unfortunately . I have started after all this started acting up . Put up an antenna, tried all the global settings , learned to program a sd on sentinel ect . At this rate I’ll be a whiz by the time it’s wore out .

Same situation as you. I have a little bit more experience cuz. I programmed it the first time but still kind of out of my depth.
If I get it figured out, I'll let you know. Or vice versa please. 😀

Program all the database frequencies plus 154.01 in ANALOG FM and see if you hear digital noise or anything at all.
Did this and am now getting wise county dispatch again. Thank you for the suggestion. Looks like the radioreference needs to update the database to include this frequency. 154.010000 added to sentinel started getting calls again.

154.01 is licensed but not in the database.

I suspected that another frequency was being used as the control channel since several other members lost the system. Thanks to nd5y for pointing out that 154.01 was listed in the license but not in the database.
