woolsey Fire

Fire broke out this afternoon in the Woolsey Canyon area near the Ventura County line. Frequencies used include 159.150, 119.975, 470.4875, 470.6175, 860.4375, 470.6125 and probably more. Knockdown was declared around 5:00pm and many units were released, but activity continues.

Hello Westli: I saw the smoke from the fire at around 5:30 PM while driving around the Palmdale and Lancaster areas, and shortly after 5:30 the smoke seemed to disappear.

Are they still mopping up?

Yesterday afternoon/evening there was also a fire in the Santa Clarita area/San San Francisquito Canyon Road ... the "Bee" fire. I would guess that's what you saw.
