WS 1040

On my WS 1040 when i push the WX button for the Weather for KCK Weather, all i get is WX from St Joe Mo & when i try to change it to the KCK WX it don't switch, how do i program it for just KCK WX ?

That is because its the stronger signal. It also depends on where your squelch is set. To change channels press either the UP or DOWN arrow.

I did the up & down arrow & nothing changes & the squelch does nothing for it

I have a RS PRO-106 , about the same radio, the WX goes to 162.400 St. Joe and sometimes 162.550 KC. Never noticed 162.400 being as powerful.
Maybe weather conditions ? And I am in LV KS.

Nodical Miles 20? from KCK, BUT 30 Nodical Miles from St Joe Mo & i get St Joe Mo loud & clear

As far as I know the St Joe station is in Wathena, KS, 43 miles from Leavenworth KS 162.400
The KC station is in Pleasent Hill, MO, 68 miles from Leavenworth, KS 162.550

The KC station is in Independence, MO, 42 miles from Leavenworth, KS
Leavenworth is in the center of the two stations........
