Anyone have anymore update son Putnam County? I am from there and traveling there soon and want to take my 106 with me and be updated. I dont have any contacts in County Communications anymore so I will not be able to get any updates myself. Thanks.

The Putnam County live feed page (Putnam County Sheriff, Fire, and EMS Live Scanner Audio Feed) lists 460.1 and 154.815 for Fire/EMS and Sheriff. I think I remember reading that Putnam County was making some use of the WVIRP, but maybe just on a trial basis.
Are any of those other lincoln county TG's beside 4931 active? I get 4931 alot every night and I wonder if I put those in if I'll hear stuff....
I know they are still using VHF simplex with UHF uplink to Comm Center. I was just wondering if there was anymore activity on the IRP? I will be splitting time between Putnam and Taylor Counties and just wanted to be able to listen to some old familiar area radio traffic. Thanks.

EMS/Fire dispatch was using IRP a couple of weeks ago, but I have not heard anything in the last week or so.

Just an FYI, Mineral County just had all the new radios installed in the Fire/EMS and law enforcement units. we can talk on them but just simplex style right now on what was said as a "test" freq. i did see a list of channels we will have. I'll see if i can find it and post it to you guys.

The Mineral county ( Keyser ) CC here in Cumberland Md is very strong. I have heard limited testing but not able to identify any new TG's active in Mineral county yet. If you can find the list would be helpful, then to put a name to a new TG and submit it to the RR DB.
When the Keyser CC channel testing was being performed the radio techs found several dead spots north of Ft. Ashby on Rt. 28 caused by the shadowing from the southern end of Knobly Mt blocking the Pinicale Mt CC signal. They talked about adding a secondary CC on Knobly but so far no secondary CC is on the air.Their testing radios wanted to jump to the Capon Mt CC, but Capon does not cover Rt. 28 well around Short Gap.

Yes it sure is. Was out and about yesterday listening to the Ansted, Pax, and Ghent sites. Caught the WV National Guard traveling on I 68 chatting with each other & also caught what I believe might be the next Nicholas Co TG. TG 6513 sounded like a couple firemen chatting and the one told the other that he would just give him a phone call later. I've got an idea who it might be but I'm gonna have to listen just a little bit longer just to confirm.

Yes I know exactly what you mean. I also caught the WV National Guard some this afternoon talking some. Unsure exactly what they are doing.

We always put a car close to where we're working so we can listen to the Sirius radio and the scanner. Also a good way to move tools.
