Some of Mineral County's fire units already have this system programed into our new radio's. My department, New Creek (Station 38), is having ours done Wednesday August 24th. I don't really know to much about this system. Guess its time to start learning lol

What radio/ scanner do i need to monitor it and tx on it.

To monitor you can use a GRE 500,600,800 or Uniden 396xt, 996xt, HP-1 digital scanners...Mineral county TG's are becomming active slowly and I have submitted a few new TG's to the RR DB.

Getting a radio programmed to TX without knowledge of the system logic and permissions is another story.

Enjoy

Tg 9353

I have heard this TG 9353 now for a few days. They were talking about goats and other farm animals. After listening I believe it is a group working the State Fair. Does anybody else have anything on this?

Hey SD

I'm not sure which site(s) cover the Cass area but for the Elkins Area, Randolph Co has three: The Elkins Site and North & South Harmon.

Hope this helps

Had our training class on the system this evening and wow is all i have to say. This is a very very neat system. I hope it works out for everyone in the end. we have our radio's programed now but there is no projected time when we are going ot start using the system. I do how ever have a list of our talk groups we'll have in our radio's. there are 4 pages's worth of channels to look threw here. very neat. my scanner will be programed tomorrow so I can't wait to get in on the action!

New confirmed TG-1689, Fire company # 38, New Creek...Private. Will submit to the RR DB.

Dan if you have a complete list of TG's for Mineral county send it to the DB administrator to post. It will save a lot of time and trouble for those monitoring the system here at RR.

If you need any help, please let me know.

Mineral county Fire/EMS/Rescue services are very active today signal testing. I have not monitored any police TG's yet...Ex: Mineral county sheriff, Keyser or Ridgley PD. Exciting to monitor new services every day now.

I was in that area yesterday afternoon, but must have missed it. What time did you hear the testing?

Heard the same TG conversation on the Keyser tower earlier today, a mobile traveling on I-68 to I-81 talking to someone in Charleston...They mentioned Barbour county...Also they were talking about tower coverage in Jefferson, Morgan, Berkley and Hampshire counties in the panhandle. They seemed to know the system pretty well.

Hey Bert

Didn't catch that one I was in Charleston all day today. Did you hear any comms on it? I guess we could've been testing out a new TG or something.
