Hey SD

I'm not sure which site(s) cover the Cass area but for the Elkins Area, Randolph Co has three: The Elkins Site and North & South Harmon.

Hope this helps

Chad

Thanks I will try those. Sorry for late reply.

Been listening to 9037 quite a bit this evening, and I believe this is the morgantown area state police,as they were chasing a red truck that had rear ended a couple of vehicles(interstate 68) and earlier I think a trooper or two was run off the road(different incident).I could be wrong but this is what I've been listening to all night

Monitored a new TG-1619, tonight, encrypted, off the Keyser ( Mineral County ) tower. I'm assuming it's a police agency in Mineral county as the TG-16XX group are being newly assigned to the county.

Enjoy

I don't have a list of all the talk groups ( i don't think) but I have a list of all the different channels that we have. I will scan them in asap. alot of the activity you've been hearing from Mineral is the different dept's testing. I was in our utility a few days ago talking to some of my officers in Hampshire Co, New Creek and Keyser.

I have a question with this system are the talk groups site specific or can they be monitored across the state

Some TG's apprear to be regional, 1,2,3 ect.I think this is by design to keep EFR and Police traffic local but others like WVDOT seem to be heard state wide. I can sit in Cumberland Md and listen to them off the Mineral county tower talking about an accident or road closure in the state capital Charleston. I know from the conversations neither the transportation center or the mobile is anywhere near Keyser WV ( Mineral County)

Enjoy

I was listening to TG 4927 a while back. I didn't submit anything on it but Huntington PD was talking to a Cabell Co Deputy and were both in Milton. They marked up and were back in route to Huntington.

Depends on if an authorized radio is on another tower. Say a US Marshal's radio authorized to work anywhere in the state and the agent is from Boone Co. and is in Jefferson Co. The agent is associated with the site in Jefferson Co. and you would be able to monitor that TG from the Jefferson Co. site and maybe Berkeley Co. site if that TG is set to broadcast on that site as well.

Some times I catch non-local TGs off the Berkeley Co. site; I just guess that a radio tech or someone local with that TG has it programmed in and monitoring it.

Tg 9781

Sounds like it's being used around Pendleton Co. since Pendleton Co. sounds to be without phone service right now including 911.

Anyone else hear that woman on the radio? She needs to relax a little and stop YELLING into the mic. She was yelling so loudly that it was distorted and the other poor guy had to ask her to repeat herself a lot. He had more patience that would have had for her.

EDIT: She wasn't yelling. The one guy on the radio without phone service, called someone else over the I-Flows radio (TG9781) who had phone service that called her. I can see why she'd be a little frustrated.

I wasn't listening to it but seen the tg show up. All I heard was the 911 center was offline with phone services in 1 of the county.

I was listening to a little bit of this as well at the start of my shift at the 911 center on DHSEM1. Had to turn them off shortly after. Couldn't hear any of the other radio traffic.

I hope you're programming the proper site, Dan. 3-001 Ohio Co Simulcast is the site you want. Site 1-008 is no more (and i just removed it from the DB so nobody gets confused in the future).

The active CC for 3-001 is 453.3375. You should be able to pick it up easily on your scanner, as I'm in my basement up in Jeffferson Co on the stock antenna and am able to get a couple bars on it.

You can barely hear it? Are you going by ear alone, or are you looking at signal strength? Since its a 9600 baud control channel, it will always sound somewhat "washed out" as compared to your typical Moto Smartzone control channel. It will [and does] sound even more washed out when it's a P25 simulcast system like the Ohio Co site. It sounds like garbage up here. I can't monitor the system because of the simulcast distortion. Even though you are closer, you may find yourself in the same boat where you may hear it and it may provide good signal strength but you can't decode anything. Good luck with it.

I think Mylan even has trouble right in Wheeling proper -- I think he had to move his scanners around to find a sweet spot where he different suffer from the simulcast distortion.

Signal strength definitely should not be weak though. That transmitter up by the highlands is way to strong if ya ask me.
