I know almost all of the freq. are in my scanner, but i hear nothing..... A little help please !!! 42.1000,42.0600,156.0300. is that it ? I cant even hear rommey for some reason !! i live in keyser !!!

I have a BCT8 with a Scantenna located in the Airport Edition of Keyser and pickup just about all WVSP radio traffic. Even with just the factory Uniden antenna I'm able to receive WVSP. What kind of setup do you have?
I hear a lot of WVSP traffic on my 396T with the RS 800MHz antenna. have you tried turning the squelch down some? what about wrong PLs? try no PL and see what you get.

im useing a BC350c and a radio shack car antenna right now but i have the stock and i still dont hear anything.

FYI, Romney has been very active all afternoon, particularly dispatching Jefferson and Berkely Counties. Maybe they are using a remote repeater for this area???

yes sir i just cant seem to find my stock antenna and im kinda in a slump of money so im kinda screwed eather way. so. do you think if i had a different antenna it would pick up more ?

Dan, is your scanner not receiving anything? Or just not receiving the State Police channels you mentioned? Also, has the radio ever received anything? I guess what I am fishing for is the answer for the question is the radio defective?
Do you have another radio that you could operate in the same location and verify whether you can receive signal?

i can pick up the Mineral dispatches,sometimes MD dispatches and rarely CSX. im not receaving just those freq i listed
