Saw a video on facebook of a guy showing the TPT of an XTL 2500 and an APX 7000. And I was wondering how he even got that on the XTL?
XTL/XTS have always had TPT. Motorola radios well before this series have as well.Saw a video on facebook of a guy showing the TPT of an XTL 2500 and an APX 7000. And I was wondering how he even got that on the XTL?
Maybe he was on a trunking system?Saw a video on facebook of a guy showing the TPT of an XTL 2500 and an APX 7000. And I was wondering how he even got that on the XTL?
Sorry I should have clarified, neither radio was on trunking.Maybe he was on a trunking system?
TPT can also be used on a conventional repeater.Sorry I should have clarified, neither radio was on trunking.
How does that work? I thought that was only available on trunking or through the XTS FPP hack?TPT can also be used on a conventional repeater.
There's a way to make it work on XTL using DVRS. There's instructions online somewhere. For the APX, anything past firmware R31 allows a conventional P25 TPT on Motorola P25 repeaters. How does that work? I thought that was only available on trunking or through the XTS FPP hack?
And this is from my XTL Codeplug:What you are describing is on the XTS portable, not the mobile XTL. This is from the XTS help screen:

No idea what you sent there but it has nothing to do with what I'm talking about.
So, how?Definitely no FPP in my XTL
So, how?
OP was just asking how its possible on an XTL. There's ways, that one is the one I used. Was thinking the OP wasnt using a Quantar P25 conventional repeater and was just doing conventional simplex / a non P25 repeater. In which case if he was - this TPT DVRS trick wouldn’t work -unless you had FPP in the codeplug
