Yaesu: Yaesu FT-991 pausing after transmit

I was on the 10 meter band and noticed that when I transmit, after I released the mic button the radio it pause a few seconds before going back to receive. It was long enough you could not hear someone responding. It seems that it is only happening on the 10 meter band right now. Has anyone else ran into this issue, any ideas?

Do you have WIRES enabled?

I don't believe so, I have never used that. However, I am not in front of the radio now so would need to check it later.
