Hello, I just bought a new ft2 and loved it.... My problem is , I did the firmware update(no like a maroon I did not back it up) and now when I power on I get "firm error"???? What on Earth do I do now???

You probably loaded the wrong firmware. After you download the correct one, watch this video.

Yaesu's instructions are not entirely clear. Remember to set the micro switch under the USB connector in the correct position(s) for the upgrade. There are two stages for different parts of the upgrade and then return to the correct position for operation of the radio. I printed out the instructions and followed them step by step. Worked first time.

New FT2's (a friend just bought one) come with the most recent firmware.
