You'll find repeater activity sporadic around here during the days, with most activity afternoon/drive time and nets on weeknights, the biggest one is the Southeastern Linked Repeater Net which is on dozens of repeaters, it's on Wednesday nights at 9PM, and a good test to see what you can hear/get into from your location:

Thanks again for the tip...listened in for the first 30 minutes and did a check-in off the Dallas repeater. It was definitely nice to have a "set" transmission to listen to and then try to pick up on other repeaters with the other band. I found or at least had a strong signal of 4 repeaters I didn't have programmed in, so progress, I guess?
