For those who purchased the you loop, how’s it going so far? So far for me, it’s working fairly well. Once I heal up from my knee surgery, plan to experiment with it. Will get some pvc pipe (small) to make a X to mount the loop. Then try hanging it in my living room so I can manually turn it to see if I can better reception or change direction for listening. Currently have it mounted with suction cups to my window. The hole is facing N-S. From what I have read, it’s the ends direction that receives the frequencies. Is this correct?

My W6LVP rarely see's any major improvement when on a rotator, outside of nulling noise. and thats only by a few degrees. Give it a go and see what you can do.

Being you have it inside, you will see a difference when turning (nulling) noise.

I'm guessing with 10,000 (taxs) lakes, your just North of me.

My W6LVP is generally pointed N-S. See what you can do! That's the fun of this sport.

Well, that and trying to figure out the best deals on Walmart beans because one antenna is never enough... :sneaky:

When you say pointed N-S, is that the hole or the sides pointing N-S? Am wanting to mount it on a pole, like a floor lamp with no top. Am assuming I cannot use a metal floor lamp, correct? I have this floor lamp I bought years ago that I put a mini discone on until I was able to put a discone outside. If not able to mount along the side, maybe mount on top with some way of holding it in place but turnable. Still want to put one outside though.
