I noticed ZNY86 KATHY (126.025)has TWO SITES one in Barnegat,NJ and another in Manteo, NC. Do they just retransmit each other's traffic or are they separate?

Well according to the document from the FAA via NOTAM there is no RCAG 126.025 frequency at Barnegat NJ
The frequency is only from the RCAG in Manteo NC.

Additionally, in all the years I have monitored the NY Center Oceanic, I have never heard the ground side of 126.025 from NJ. Yes, I can hear the ground side of 133.500 when conditions are good.

There is no reason for a site in NJ for that frequency since the aircraft using it are off the North Carolina South Carolina coastlines.

I believe you will find that LiveATC has a feed for NY Center that lists both 133.500 and 126.025 on the same feed - but never hear the ground side of 126.025 on there either.

I will submit a change to RR to remove 126.025 from Barnegat.

For what it's worth the ZNY SOP (2011) lists a BUEC (BackUp Emergency Communication) site for 126.025 located at what they identify as ONXZ-N/ONXZ-S. Presumably located near ONX, Currituck County Regional Airport, NC ? I'm not sure what the added Z-N/Z-S indicate ? A Radar Site maybe ?

If the NOTAM is correct it looks like they changed the name of the sectors from PAEPR to KATHY and HANRI to FAIRR.

If you want to hear the ground side there is another LiveATC feed that covers 133.525 and 126.025 where the controller can be heard loud and clear. The feed appears to be located in Wilmington (ILM) so you are hearing the controller on 133.525, but this sector always appears to be combined (same controller) with 126.025.

Good info....yeah I have monitored that one when following flights off Florida and Georgia headed out into the Atlantic - the ones that do not make it into Giant Killer 118.125 or the Northern Oceanic Sectors for New York Center (133.500/125.925). Now that HF is getting hotter - I will be able to continue to monitor the flights instead of not hearing them on HF.
