The usual pattern over the years with new product offerings is, everyone's excited, oh gotta have it, can't wait. Right? But then we start getting the first units and there's bugs. So if the SDS100 ends up having a "repair campaign", what do you think will be the most likely reason?

Well the SDS 100 isn’t even released yet and some folks need to start yet another thread bi—-ing and complaining about some imaginary issues. Look, everyone is well familiar with how much you hate Uniden. So just buy another brand or move on to another way to occupy your time, please!
BG..
Come on did you expect any less?

The biggest problem with the SDS-100 will be with these forums... droves of Whistler owners will buy one and then realize they can't figure out how to use it... the forums will be flooded with messages like, "Mongo new scanner no work! Mongo take 6 hour figure out how turn on! Uniden make too hard for Mongo to use! Beaconing DMR really confuse Mongo! Mongo mad at Uniden!"

So funny but sooooo true.

Unihaters have to rag on something - even if it's not an issue, it is to them.

But God forbid you make the slightest negative comment on their pet product.

If this thread is going to exist, I'm going to put one out they won't like much.

Gents, let's try and stay civil. Try to keep your posts in the spirit of the OP's poll.

Thanks.

I asked this question, and was told - hand programmable, but why would you want to ?. Enlightenment please ? .

The SDS100 will be hand programmable. You hold it in your left hand while connecting the programming cable with your right. Nuf said.

Good one.

Seriously, there are times when you're in the field without a PC and you want to add a channel. Hand programming is a valuable option. Not as desirable as PC programming, but necessary in a pinch.
