The Fire/EMS feed for Shawnee County has been playing a TV show or something, and the Law Enforcement channel is down, I was wondering if anyone knew why?

I am going on the Monarch of the Seas in April going to Coco Cay, and Nassau. Looking for fire, ems, and ship frequencies. Hope to load the scanner for interesting listening. Any help would be appreciated.

I just got a scanner app for my Droid and it picks up Fire, Police, and EMS radios... But everyone talks is code so I was wondering how I can find out what the codes are. (and they're not regular 10 codes - some one them are the same but some are waaaaaaaay different. :-)

I was recently in Louisville, and my 400 MHz EMS channels were silent. I know a paramedic up there and he told me that EMS had recently changed to 800 MHz frequencies and gone digital. I don't know when/if the rest of metro government will go digital. The PD/Fire channels worked fine.

I live in Scott City, KS, and I know that the EMS here has purchased the new radios with the 800 MHz frequency. However, no one seems to know what it is, not even the EMS director. I can't find it anywhere on the internet. Anybody have a clue how to find out?

On my scanner I have the FIRE and EMS that I listen to the most on it. And when the EMS gets called out the dispatch tone goes off for them. But on the fire channel it doesn't. Hi Gang, Listening to Boston EMS via online feed, I wonder why they refer to Boston Medical Center as the BMC Menino. Is there another BMC location that receives ambulances? Or is this a political reference to the Mayor? Thanks for your replies.
