Just wondering if anyone has tuned into the Chicago area nightly net on 145.190? Heard it for the first time a couple of different nights last week.

If so, do you know who sponsors it, or if there is a web site associated with it?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

I heard a net a couple of nights ago on 145.190. I'm at Archer and California. Looks like this is a repeater operated by the Argonne Amateur Radio Club. You're probably hearing the "Night Patrol" net. There's some more info here: http://www.qsl.net/w9anl/html/aarcinfo.htm

Yep, that's the one. Heard repeated references to the night patrol.

Thanks for the link. It's much appreciated.

W9ANL - The night Patrol

This net can now be heard here live on RadioReferences.com as of January 26th, 2011.

The feed is randomly busy during the morning and afternoon but ALWAYS busy at 10:30PM EACH DAY of the year (CST - Chicago time) when the "Night Patrol" nets operates.

The net usually last between 1 to t1.5 hours depending on the number if licensed amateur radio operators that check in.
