The other night I picked up some voice inversion on 155.8 with a tone of 151.4, anyone else in the Edmonton area hear anything like this? I was in the west end, and it was about 1900hrs.

Never heard voice inversion on this frequency before.

Could it have been a harmonic from another frequency?

I think it was too strong to be a harmonic, plus the fact that the tone came through clear also makes me think it wasn't a harmonic.

I'll take a listen and see if I can hear anything.

RCMP repeater A1 is 155.805, but uses the "standard" PACS tones of 123.0/131.8. They also have 155.79 (A3/A4, same tones).

Other users of the 155.x chunk are far removed from 155.8, AFAIK (such as Wheatland County 155.49, Crossfield Fire 155.73 - they're the closest, I think).

I agree with Jon, This signal was somewhat strong and from the, South and West.
I suspect it's some County Cop near Edmonton.
