There is a good VHF high band opening from my location in central Alabama north to Tennessee. I am hearing comms on 161.950 / Nac 2A0 that are related to a vehicle accident. Reference made to "No T DOT truck on scene". Any ideas who this is?

Also hearing comms on 169.625 / Nac 200 in Eastern Time Zone which I am guessing is TVA.

Can't say for sure what you're hearing but Oak Ridge National Laboratory was using a 200 NAC. I used to be able to pick them up from here but not anymore. Maybe they changed frequencies? Not sure.

169.6250 $200 has been heard in the TN/GA/NC area, and talk was about "Hiwasee River"
could be ACoE or TVA or even NPS or USFWS

TVA in TN was reported using $418 in 2015

This is part of the TACN system that has a mix of 700MB and 150MB trunking sites that is the system NAC. There are 2 VHF TACN sites in West Tn and several in Southen Middle Tn in the District 7 area. Site 1 054 just north of Florence Al looks like a 1 possible site.

Also on Short Mountain (Cannon Co), a reasonable spot for you to have picked up if the propagation was right. A lot of the Murfreesboro area comms are on that site and TDOT does come down to and include parts of 840 at I-24
