great set up ! whats your range ? all of the GTA ? how many systems do you monitor? Do you split the regions between scanners ? and how many towers for the OPP ? that parking lot looks like somewhere close to the old brewery on the 401 ? please say hi to Tom VWX.
What about audio output ,how are you spliting the signal and into what?

Again great install !

Ron.

Great install :)
That console between the seats, are that origial, or bought somewhere ? I'm thinking of buying the same type of car., so this really helped on planning the radiomounting

Is there a Moto MT2000 in your (assumedly) camera bag there? Very nice, and nice with all the rest of it too! Any particular reason for going with the Spectra transceivers versus additional scanners?

Thanks for all the comments!

Ron -- Yes, all of the GTA, basically. I monitor Toronto, Peel, York, Fleetnet, and several conventional freqs. In terms of Fleetnet towers, I have most of Zone 1 programmed, but mainly use the King, Toronto, Mississauga, and Whitby towers. The audio isn't split -- separate speakers for each radio. Will say hi to Tom for you!

SonicN -- the console is completely original. Lots of modifications made to it though.

Maxkelley -- the MCS isn't installed yet since it is being programmed. It will be mounted on the side of the console. There is an MTX838, among other portables, clipped onto the side of my Hatch gear bag. The Spectra's (800Mhz) aren't susceptible to intermod/interference whereas the Uniden scanners definitely are. Much better coverage with the Spectra's.

I work for a station... there is no real customized storage yet for the TV gear, aside from a metal cargo partition that keeps the equipment separate from the passengers. A full storage solution is in the process of being built. A customized laptop mount is also being built, so I'll update this post once I get the rest of the work done. I will have to also post some photos of the antennas and the front/rear LED's.

Thanks! Although this thread wasn't intended to be used as a pat-on-the-back. I wanted to share some of the ideas/concepts that I had, and perhaps provide a bit of inspiration to prove that with some creativity, anything can be done!

I'll be posting more pics over the next couple of weeks... laptop mount and VHF MCS2000 should be installed soon.

I dont think anyone has asked this yet but can you talk about the power distribution a little bit? Is there a power block in that console? Did you have to add a second battery to the vehicle? Also are there speakers for each scanner built in somewhere?
