21 Sep 2024, around 14:40 UTC,

31445 kHz
33325 kHz

edit: also on 35470 kHz
possibly on 31200 kHz

Very faint voices of multiple people, in AM. Sounded a bit like broadcasts. I have seen harmonics of strong broadcasts before, but this time there was nothing even close to the half, third and quarter of these frequencies, and most of them don't even hit broadcast bands.

Received in Northern Europe, with very strong fading.

Sounds like 512bps POCSAG as well as GOLAY on 31.750... Very interesting. Some of that was high enough quality to be able to decode, I'd bet. Perhaps try running it through a decoder program?

Any idea what the tones on 31.325 are for? Sounds vaguely like some of the load management systems you'd hear on 154.46375, but not the same.

This stuff is great, @217. Keep it' comin.

@217, so you are pretty up on all of this stuff - is sporadic e the means that we hear these things so far away? Or is there another method?

Can anyone toss up an audio sample of what the BNSF HLCS sounds like? Thanks!
I could but was concerned about the legality of posting recordings of digital communications.
