The system snagged a few repeats yesterday around 1400PT. I'm building the station out a bit so that I can handle the logs from a different machine than the one doing the actual recording, but I'm fighting audio routing issues with Windows RDP. Anyway, on with the show:

Any help with these unknowns in my list, guys? Sure would like to know what some of these are. Man - lately CT to CA has had some openings on 33MHz... Makes me wonder what 10m is doing at the same time. Shame I'm never around when the openings happen.

I have been listening to low band for a week and only captured 3 short recordings that I confirmed as CHP. I live in Western PA. I'm using a 10-meter dipole for receive, in addition to a ScanTenna. What am I missing? Or, is the skip just not in my region at this time?

Using SDS200 monitoring/logging 24/7.

It's extremely hit and miss. There are days I don't receive anything at all, and there are days where for a couple of hours, I get all kinds of stuff (as referenced above). Give it some time.

I'm using a Diamond CP610. I assume your antenna is vertically polarized, as most of these transmissions are... I'm not sure how a horizontal long wire type arrangement would work, I've never played with it.

Lowband is tricky... The last two days were completely dead for me.

Not sure about you, but during the day I get hours and hours of garbage recordings of the thing stopping on random frequencies with what sounds (audibly) like the second harmonic of 60Hz (and decodes as a 118.8Hz PL). It's just environmental noise (which could be and probably is man made).

The fact you've received and confirmed that you are receiving CHP shows your configuration is working.
