I've reprogrammed my station to scan 33MHz only for a few days. Might pick up some other interesting stuff this way, so I don't have to deal with as much "lost time" with the thing sitting on hours of environmental noise. We'll see!

By "Traffic", I'm indicating that something in the transmission(s) (Apparatus, address, city name, dispatch center, business name, etc.) was a positive confirmation for the agency I was hearing.

Scanning just 33MHz has yielded much more results than previously. I think I'll leave it this way for a few days. Perhaps I'll look at 31MHz and 37MHz next.
