Custer Rd Towers

There are several towers just South of Custer Rd (near Prairie Corners Rd / Conestoga Rd & Hwy 50 / 370 area).

They are:
Sprint (ASR 1002999)
Alltel (ASR 1026215)
Verizon (ASR 1219706).

There are a lot of possibilities for the 408.0000MHz to be broadcast a number of spots near Gretna. There are even antennas on top of the Gretna water tower and a few more towers near the city itself.

It was tempting to stop and ask the people who live in that house how they felt about it. I could see where it would have good and bad days. Would be nice to have a few runs of coax going up. Not to mention make it easier for people to find your house.

Im on 408.2000 MHZ now and hear nothing. I live here in Blair.

Not sure about 408.2000, as we were listening to 408.0000. Blair is in a hole and its tough to pick up a lot of things out of there.

How do you know it's P25 for sure?

it could be Federal Trunked Systems?

It's P25 cause we can decode it with a P25 scanner, and 408.0 is not even listed on that webpage for it being trunked because it's not.

It could be any Fed agency like Postal Investigators, IRS investigators, INS, etc. It would make sense that it could be any of them since all of them are located in Omaha area for Nebraska since it is biggest town in the state.

I was receiving 3/4 scale with a Portable scanner inside the car near 50th and Platteview Road. The other night, and it was a couple minutes chat.
