436 & 536 screen brightness

Thanks, thats the version i have. and that's just probally the pic i took, its actually easier to read than that, here's a different picture

if that is your new one with newer serial, it does seem darker and less blue, which i assume is the "fixed" model. i have a friend with the old one and he has never had a problem with the screen and he scans all the time. wonder if it does not happen every time?

I hope mine is the nw one!! Seems that way i think

Seems like i've read, that there are some, that have never had the issue, not every single 436/536 has had the display issue, from what i understand.

I sent my 536 to Uniden for screen brightness and boy oh boy what a difference that makes. It took 11 days.Will send the one in my car now to be fixed Thanks Uniden

Have it at high and the contrast 12. The first step now is what it used look like. What a difference.

For me it's not the backlight but the screen readability when there is no backlight. It's so difficult to read unless you shine a light on it or turn on the backlight which form mine is nice and bright.
