First, in the interest of full disclosure, I'm an old timer & dumb as dirt when it comes to computers & programming scanners. I've got a 436 HP, SDS 100 & a 996 P2 that I've been trying to program with this MOTO TRBO DMR system: New Hampshire Electric Cooperative Trunking System, Various, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies (radioreference.com)
I program the 436 from the RR database, had Sentinel read the radio & checked all the info against the info in the RR database & it matched. Monitor & Download both show on, all service types are turned on. I have programmed this scanner with local PD, FD & medevac & they all work fine.
When we moved up here, I had a PSR 800 upgraded to a WS1080 & I used EZ Scan to program this system & it worked perfectly. I sold that radio & bought the 436, figuring Trunk Tracking is a better way to listen to this system......evidently not.
It was 1 year ago today we closed on this house & this situation is getting really old. All ideas & suggestions greatly appreciated!

Tnx & Happy New Year!

Oops, forgot to mention that! Yes, I purchased DMR licenses for all three scanners and all three say that DMR has been activated.

All services turned on? That’s allot. Get to many services turned on will take awhile just to scan once through all those frequencies. Are you using favorites? Or using location and distance? Here is my suggestion. Turn off all services. Turn on police only. Select location using your zip code and distance at 5 miles. Listen for a few days. If what you want to hear is working, then start adding other services a little at a time. Once your comfortable with the radio, start making favorites if you want. I’ve owned the 436. It’s a great radio.

Did you manually program the system, or did you append from the main database?

Also, check your service types. By default, when you first get the 436HP (or any of the other Uniden database scanners), the only service types that are enabled are Dispatch for public safety (Law Dispatch, Fire Dispatch, EMS Dispatch, & Multi Dispatch). Also enable the Talk & Tac types for these: Law Talk, Fire Tac, etc. Be sure these are all enabled in both the scanner as well as in Sentinel.

Have you verified that Utilities is enabled on the scanner? In the Menu (on the scanner), scroll down & access the "Select Service Types" screen.

Services that are enabled will show as On; those not enabled will be labeled as Off. If, instead of On or Off, you see dashes, there are no channels with that service type active in the scanner.

Are you using location control?

Try using site hold on the site nearest to you and set to ID search, If that works try ID scan.

I created a favorites list & this system is the only thing in it. I have other FL's with PD, FD & Medevac & they all work just fine. I can receive two sites & am seeing 2-4 bars on the signal strength display.
