The thread titled 436/536 firmware update mentioned but did not provide links to the 536 or 325. I then looked for the 996P2 and it had been updated as well.

I updated my 325 and 996 to v1.11.03 yesterday. No problems noted.

I have a 536, older hardware, so at minimum, I need 1.26.00 or newer. Where do I find it?​

2. Support for displaying EA EDACS system ID
3. Fixed reboot issue with many sessions in user recording mode
4. Fixed squelch backlight issues
5. Speed up record file search
6. Improved the clarity of digital voice
7. Modified muting issue during analog reception
8. Modified the valid condition of EDACS system ID

Updates are through the Sentinel software.

Why is it dumb? My Uniden is a place you can register your radio for upgrades( paid) like DMR,NXDN and ProVoice which are paid upgrades for several Uniden radios. It is a good place to store information like Serial numbers etc.

I figure someone typed up one description and they just copied and pasted to each radio's update description. I bet the bandscope information is only intended for the BCD160DN and the BCD260DN. And possibly at a later date, the SDS radios.

Because you have to register to see updates.
That's why it's stupid.

You don't need to register to see updates. Sentinel will check for updates once you have your radio connected and click on check for firmware updates.

I'll take these updates as an indication that Uniden isn't abandoning the scanner market.

If your using Sentinel your scanner uses a MicroSD card...
Pull the card from the scanner and plug it into a card reader on your computer. External card readers are not expensive. If you don't have one.
Sentinel will see it... Update the Firmware on the card...
Put the card back in the scanner and turn it on. The Firmware will update.

You have to take your car to the dealer to get firmware updated I guess you think that is stupid also
