Does anyone know if Marshall County’s P25 system is up and running yet? I remember the news reports claiming they expected it to but up by April or May of 21.

From what I am understanding, they have just gotten their frequency allocations and likely waiting for county and Guntersville city to get their radio equipment in and installed. Hearing it is to be up sometime next month (June) if they run into no issues.

i will have to look i dont know if it can be set to scan as a regular talk group . its not a standard tg id . it starts with 42 something . i know its blount co .by the dispatcher . he is on leeds tg. blount 911 dispatches leeds plus i hear things u hear on the vhf

43012 is the TG I’m hearing it on, I’m getting it on both the Warrior and Palmerdale towers, can confirm that is Fire 1 based on tones, station numbers abs address I heard. Audio isn’t perfect tho it almost sounds like they have it patched in via the FirstNet cellular PTT system.

Also seeing 43002 pop up a lot but not getting any traffic, I wonder if it’s going to be the law enforcement TG and it’s encrypted….

from what i was told these are not tg ids but radio console ids. the only way to check to see if its a leo patch is to listen to vhf and watch 800 . if they do enc law enforcement. just going to have to suck it up. wish i had contacts a blount 911 or the bcso

Blount County is getting stimulus money, there is approximately $40 or $50 million dollars coming to us. They are trying to use some of this money to help pay for the P25s.

Those are talkgroups. Console IDs would look just like any other subscriber ID. They can be a 4 digit ID like what was on Smartzone systems or it can be 7 digits. Here is Morgan Co our consoles are in the 303xxxx range and radio IDs are also 303xxxx numbers.

43002 is not blount co sheriff i am listing to the feed and watching that id . that id is not showing no signs of traffic , i would see enc on the radio . it could be a blount co pd or blount ems .
