Also I heard Turkey, TX for the first time. It's sounds like a TDMA CC on 855.1875.
Matador is unreceivable here unless it or the local city system 1/2 mile away rotates CCs.
No band opening to the S and SW where I need it.

Today the band was open good all over. I was able to copy Rule and Rotan. Those apear to be the only FDMA CC sites left to the S and SW of Wichita Falls. They populated CCs for 8 new sites that are all TDMA.
rotan.pngrule.png

The new sites are all in 1F8 in Texas:
15.15 856.8375
16.16 855.4375
38.38 856.8375
39.39 854.5375 (Throckmorton)
55.55 854.8125
56.56 854.5875
100.100 857.8125
111.111 856.8375

I haven't yet tried to figure out where they are except I already knew Throckmorton.
I can hear stuff on all of those but most have multiple signals because of the band opening.

The complete list of CCs for 1F8.
AEP-TX-CC.png

There was still three EDACS CCs on the air but they are ones that are incorrect in the DB or they aren't AEP.
This may be the last information I'm able to provide for this system.

Thanks, Tom. Seriously man, think about reaching out to me via email. No reason you can't run Fast Lane.

Were you going to do the wiki updates / figuring out site locations or shall I?

Now it's getting tricky. 56-56 (854.5875). Licensed to Santa Rosa and Zapata (way too far away) and Abilene (which would make sense). But an amendment to WPCB210 that went through on 6/10/2021 deleted 854.5875 from the Abilene license. My head hurts, so I'm not going to try to guess these sites. Not to mention, more than one site in the area of Rutan and/or Rule currently has the same active control channel. So who knows. I don't know if Aspermont was my guess or not, but I suppose that may not even be right. So many locations in that general vicinity with some of the same freqs on the license.

Probably going to have to wait until somebody is able to monitor a site directly _and_ get alternate control channels.

There are several sites that were using the same CC today. There are several sites around Abilene with overlapping frequencies. It's a mess in some areas.

I already went through this. They haven't responded to my email.
Nobody is capable of answering simple questions about it.
Does it still run under WINE/Linux?
Does it still work with discriminator audio?

Yes it still works with discriminator audio. However, there will be an issue with any PSK site (a simulcast, the P25 TDMA CC sites, etc) because DSDplus needs to use FMP* linked to DSDPlus in order to do that. Typically FL handles PSK in the FMP* stage, before the audio gets sent to DSDPlus. Without using FMP* (which would require some SDR device), you can't feed a PSK signal into DSDPlus. (and hey, maybe I'm wrong about this).

I cannot say for certain that DSDplus FL will still run under WINE/Linux, but I'll ask.

Mike you can update the wiki.

I'll do my best on that. With so much guessing having to be done, I am just going to add the site #s, CCs, and whether they are TDMA CC or not. So far I'm I don't have any confidence in any of [my] guesses for those sites, and in fact am losing confidence in at least one site I thought i had correct before. Ugh.

Some of the TDMA CC samples I saw posted were discriminator audio; didn't seem like anyone had trouble decoding them.

@nd5y if you remember, at some point I removed any CC notation from 55.55 Abilene in the DB. Now I'm even less confident about that. I didn't remove 55.55 from the DB, but I'm tempted. The currently reported CC (854.8125) for 55.55 isn't even one of the freqs currently listed in the DB for 55.55. I'm thinking I should probably just delete that site for now. Either that or I need to update 55.55 in the DB, remove the Abilene and leave a question mark, and remove all those frequencies and just have 854.8125 in there designated as a TDMA CC.

Well, that proves I suck. And that's good to know, for @nd5y sake. Now we just have to figure if FL is likely to run under the same platform he is running the original under (Wine/Linux).

I'd say at this time that he ought to give it a try. Sounds like it should work. He doesn't have to overwrite anything that he currently has that works. He just needs to have the whole package of what he needs to dump directly into a new folder of a different name and run FL from that folder.

Here all the EDACS CCs I found this morning. I think they are all AEP. Not sure where they are except they are probably all way south of here because that db page is all messed up.
Site 5 LCN 1 856.8875
Site 6 LCN 1 855.2625
Site 9 LCN 2 858.3875
Site 15 LCN 3 857.3375

What I do know is I don't hear any EDACS CCs on the two Abilene sites. I don't know if they are really gone.

Based upon the number of unknown sites around Rotan that have a current CC that happens to be on an Abilene license, I'm sure one of the P25 sites is Abilene -- but have no good guess at this time on which one it would be. 55.55 was originally submitted with 856.2875 or 857.2875 as the active CC. Now site 55 reports 854.8125 as the CC . All of those freqs are on the Abilene license. But so is the current active CC on one or two other unknown sites in that vicinity. So, in my mind I don't have enough confidence to call 55.55 Abilene, but it probably will end up being Abilene.

Add Site 8 LCN 3 860.3375 I think this is Talpa.
