FYI, while we're waiting for Uniden to deliver software that will make the dongle usable, the USB port on the back of the BCD536HP is a good power source for a Whistler 1080.

Just because you think that individual legal action is the only remedy available, doesn't make it true. I think exposing the issues here to a wide audience as possible (I've already taken steps elsewhere), is an effective way of attracting both consumer and [more rarely] government interest and action.
