THIRD ANNIVERSARY SLOW GROWTH/EXTENDED IMPLEMENTATION STATUS
UPDATE FOR WRCY532
To Whom It May Concern:
On February 26, 2019, the Commission issued callsign WRCY532 to Anne Arundel County, Maryland (the County) with slow growth/extended implementation status, to provide eight new 800 MHz frequencies to the County for use in a future Next Generation APCO-25 Public Safety
Trunked Radio system. Pursuant to 47CFR90.629(c), the County is providing this Third Anniversary Slow Growth/Extended Implementation Status Update for WRCY532:
• The following processes in the County’s project plan are complete:
o Site acquisition
o Detailed system design review
o Frequency planning, regulatory work (e.g., FAA/FCC/NEPA/SHPO, etc.)
o Factory staging and acceptance testing
o Communications site and tower civil design
o Public safety subscriber radio deployment
o Augmentation of existing towers to meet current code requirements, except for the ca. 1937 Greenbury Point tower that will be utilized as WRCJ217 Location 3
o Electrical system augmentation at existing sites
o Shipment of system LMR and microwave equipment from the factory to Maryland
o Site construction at seven (of ten) existing sites
o Site construction at four (of four) colocation sites
o Site construction at two (of eight) green field sites
o Site construction at two (of four) dispatch centers
• The following processes in the County’s project plan are currently active:
o Installation of new base station repeaters and other network equipment in equipment shelters
o Fiber backhaul outside plant construction
o Microwave backhaul antenna and equipment installation
o Installation of antennas and new electrical systems at dispatch centers
o Implementation of tower augmentations at WRCJ217 Location 3 Greenbury Point tower
o Site construction at three remaining existing sites
o Site construction at six remaining green field sites
