Also since they now have the channel selector space, I wonder if knob position 1 and 16 (or A - N) will be the same tg?

Looking at the chronological order of the TGID's, I suspect that Zone 3 may be medical with 3A, 3B, & 3C being EMRC Call 1, Med 4, & Med 8. It will be interesting to see the final layout of Zones 1, 2, & 3 so I can complete my programming.
Zone 3 I believe are the repeaters, EMRC Zone, & Ground Support/Admin.

Anybody figure out the Zone number for the Events tgs?
It has been only referred to as "Event Zone" during the times they are utilized.

Yes, I think Alpha is in Position 1 and 16 in Zone 1, 2, & 3.

During a fire earlier in South County, units were operating on 2Echo. Water Supply was told to operate on 2Lima. Lima may be a water supply channel?

Could be. I wonder if the upper talk groups will be dynamically assigned as needed during an incident, or will they have a predefined function.

8770 is 2November
8794 - I believe is programmed as BWI FD Dispatch (but not permanently used). Fire alarm often (but not all the time) patches 1A Dispatch to this talkgroup when assigning BWI on a call.

1November and 2November appear to be Battalion level Stations Talk-Around (like how November was always used before).

It seems that protocol is to assign a Box Alarm (Hazmat, Fire, Water, etc.) on Echo (either Zone 1 or 2 depending on location). If Echo is being used and another box alarm is dispatched than Golf is used for that assignment. I have seen this occur multiple times on both Zones (1 + 2).

So it seems that when there are multiple assignments for box alarms it goes as...

Incident 1 is assigned to Echo
Incident 2 is assigned to Golf
Incident 3 is assigned to India

My *guess* is that Foxtrot is a secondary channel for Echo, Hotel for Golf, and Lima for India for larger scale incidents (multiple divisions, water supply, medical, etc.).

To clarify, are you saying that India and Lima in each zone is used as a third box alarm channel group, or are they assigned to support larger scale incidents on the first two groups? Or maybe both use cases?

I hope this clarifies:

Scenario: 3 Box Alarms go out in the 1st and 2nd Battalions simultaneously.

Box Alarm 1 is assigned to Echo. Box Alarm 2 is assigned to Golf. Box Alarm 3 is assigned to India.

---
So far, there hasn't been any activity on Foxtrot, Hotel, or Lima. I *assume* if a larger scale incident occurs than they will be used.

Scenario: Box Alarm 1 is assigned to Echo. They need a water supply channel than they would use Foxtrot. Box Alarm 2 is assigned to Golf and needs a water supply channel, they would use Hotel.
----

Interestingly, Annapolis Fire is using 2Mike for the Graduation activities today. During the Air Show Practice/cancelled event, county fire assets (and Annapolis Fire units) used the Event talkgroups. I don't believe I saw any Annapolis PD activity on them.

Anne Arundel Fire and Police routinely utilize the Event zone but so far when Annapolis Police/Fire has main oversight of events (Parades, etc.) they don't seem to use them.

So to further muddy this discussion, a total of 3 box alarms could be assigned separate talk group pairs per Zone (North Zone 1 and South Zone 2) - correct? 1E/F, 1G/H, and 1I/J for the Northern battalions; and 2E/F, 2G/H, 2I/J for the Southern battalions. This adds up to 6 separate box alarms could theoretically be supported as I understand this scheme.

8775 (encrypted) active this morning for the first time. Based on RID's likely Fire Marshals (Code Enforcement) not FIB.

They're new. People will figure out when and how to use them eventually.
Agreed, and it's nice to see that process happen and people's minds open up. Took time with MD TAC too, but look how well used that is now.

Any Idea what the Mike channels will be used for?
