Possibly add Hopkins County & Madisonville to your list soon

I just watched a news segment on WFIE (14 News, The Tri-State's News and Weather Leader- - HOME) out of Evanville, IN. They did a story on how poorly the sheriff's radios work in Hopkins county. During the last few seconds of the video, they showed a deputy briefing other local law enforcement officials on a digital radio system and NEXEDGE was the system being discussed. I don't know if this is what they will purchase, but given that Christian county went with NEXEDGE then Hopkins may do the same for interoperability. Looks like they are looking at using federal money to buy their new system.

To see the video, go to WFIE's site and look at the most popular videos and select the one that shows a deputy talking on his radio.

For what it's worth, Versailles FD is using regular chatter, too bad they have no real working fires since 1999! The rest is trips to Korger

Although you probably meant Kroger don't be jealous of their fire prevention work.

According to the latest rumor Paris/Bourbon County will be going "digital" in October... they carry Kenwood HTs right now, will reportedly be getting new radios doing the digital thing... don't know which flavor.

For the last few days I have been picking up NXDN traffic on 158.850. This is the old Anderson County S.O. freq.

Been hearing the same here in L-Burg, the SO had that freq. with a VOX inversion any way so you could not understand any thing they said. Have not read anything in the local paper about upgrades to there system.
