Antenna Brand

Just wondering what brand of antennas does say like NYPD , NCPD, SCPD use on their vehicles. Because which ever one they use is probably top notch and I would assume they last a decent time

I think NYPD uses Maxrad/PCTel. I don't think they necessarily use them because they are the best or not but were probably the cheapest price. The others I can't tell you, they all look like just Quarterwaves and it's hard to tell them apart.

The majority of NYPD vehicles do not have radios in their cars. Patrol only uses the portables.

The shop that I worked for mostly used Maxrad and Antenex mobile antennas.
