If you decide to use the car's radio speaker(s) for the scanner audio be careful when doing the connections. The radio's speakers might not be grounded on either terminal and your scanner
might be grounded on one of its wires. With a car the size of a CVPI I would strongly recommend
that you use a standard Motorola or similar mobile speaker connected only to the scanner. Such
a speaker would fit easily into the front passenger footwell and not be in the way.

Right now my setup is I have the A/C adapter that came with the scanner that plugs into the cigar outlet for the power. I have an AUX cable that I run from the front jack of the scanner into the deck of my cd/audio player for my car and the audio comes through my car stereo system. Sometimes I alternate between having the audio come from the scanner speaker itself or connected through my CD player deck.

I don't intend on having the scanner permanently in the car 24/7. I am happy with plugging and unplugging the power connection. The only thing i'm changing is that instead of using an antenna connected directly to the scanner I will be using the BNC cable running from my new antenna I purchased for my reception.
