Antenna Help

Hi All,
does anyone know of a good low profile base antenna for an apartment dweller like me.any help or suggestions will be greatly appericated.

How well is it working currently with the stock antenna...or is it not working at all?

it works ok but want to increase the range of uhf so i can get pittsburgh in a bit better on my live feed.Thanks

If it's all more-less in one direction, how about something like this? You could mount it anywhere, and run a piece of coax to your scanner.

If you do a little searching on the web you'll find that you can build an antenna like that, with more elements (read: more gain) for a couple of bucks. A piece of PCV pipe, a few wire hangers and a U-bolt. 8 or 12 elements will give you some real gain, and a few feet of PVC is cheap.

thanks for the idea man but i will pay rather than build.might be more cost effective to do so but i would rather just go with the 1st thing that comes up.been into scanning for 23 yrs and well what can i say got alittle bit lazy.will keep building my own as an option though.thanks Adam.
