If any owner who has paid for the tetra GSSI who is getting the same problem as me, please email AOR and tell them. I know its a not the end of the world thing, but its the principal of the matter. Saying I'm wrong when i know I'm right.

If any DV1 owners with Tetra GSSI can double check to see if they loose any of their favourites when powering down. Firstly go out of the GSSI list menu and onto VFO and then power off and back on after a few minutes. See if any favourites is lost. The reason why im asking is AOR says this doesn't happen and no favourites will be wiped or lost. It does with me is what i replied.

I saved 2 GSSI's in the favourites folder and turned off the DV1. After 3 minutes I turned on the scanner and the favourites are still there.

Its from 1-10 is saved with me too, it's anything from 11 upwards here keeps getting wiped. Maybe i should have said from 11+

Hello all,
I have also given my DV 1 the GSSI update and now i have a question about it and hope you can help me.
When I activate the GSSI function, the receiver remains mute (no speech is audible), is this normal?
How should I assign the GSSI numbers if I can't hear who is speaking? I hope you can help me, thank you very much and greetings,

Follow my detailed description in the first post, pay extra attention to switching from SNG to MUL mode and from FAVORITES to GSSI SEARCH mode, they, you can start getting GSSIs and listening to conversations. There is no way to manually input your own GSSI, you have to wait till the receiver identifies it, then you can name it.

Thanks for the tip, I guess it was my mistake here. After switching from SNG to MUL, the playback also worked, thank you very much.

Out of Curiosity how many GSSI have you saved to favourites? I take it less than 10?

I don't currently have any GSSI numbers saved.
I previously had an IC-R 8500 (analogue) and now I want to get into the digital modes.
I think there will certainly be one or two questions.
I am still trying to assign the GSSI numbers to the corresponding operators.
It would be much easier if the MNC was also displayed.

The GSSI feature is very basic, it doesn't make any difference between multiple networks, you have only one GSSI list common for all networks. To get little more info, you can purchase Butel ARC DV1 Pro soffware. In the virtual control mode, you can display MCC, MNC, CC and carrier freq data.

I will first familiarise myself a little with the digital possibilities of the DV 1
to see what is possible and what I might need the software for.
80 euros plus tax is not exactly a small amount of money.

You are right. I think there is a time limited fully functional demo too.
Also, if you own any sdr based dongle, you can use sdr# software and tetra plugin to get info about tetra network, however, you must own the dongle.
