Hi. I have a Uniden BC125AT scanner that i just bought. I see the upper right hand corner theres 3 digits that have to do with the battery. When my batteries are fully charged that came with the scanner it says 2.95. When the batteries are low it says 2.20 or below and the low battery icon starts beeping/flashing. How do i know what the percentage left as it's scanning throughout the day is? What formula? Math isnt my strong suit lol

That's battery voltage. It doesn't directly correlate to percentage remaining.

2.95V? You must be using 1.5V alkalines and not 1.2V NiMH/NiCAD (which would be around 2.5-2.6V fully charged.

Regardless, using your figures how accurate do you want to be?

You could round things off, say 3.0V is fully charged and 2.0V is dead which makes the formula easy:
%life=(Voltage -2.0) * 100

2.80 is 80% left, 2.40 is 40%.

This assumes a linear discharge which won't exactly be the case, but that would be close.

No. Theyre rechargeable AA 2300mah batteries that came with the scanner in the box.
