BC436HP freqency question

Ok so I went to enter 771.23125 and scanner doesn't put the 5 at end of the freq will the scanner to be able to listen to 771.23125 if I can't put that 5 at the end? or do I need the 5 to listen to it.. I have a BC436HP trying set up and such....

Yes, the last digit will be masked. The exact same thing happened about 35 years ago when frequencies such as 453.0125 came about. History repeats itself. Technically, you will only be 50 cycles off even if it weren't tuned to the correct frequency, and transmitters are commonly 10 times off-frequency by that amount. But, the scanner will be tuned exactly to 771.23125 so you will be effectively on frequency. It simply does not show the trailing '5'.

10-4 thank you voyager !! Means lot and so glad since this radio has so much but it's pretty amazing if ask me but do you know when Caroline infomarion going on RR since I want to program p25 phase II but I know freqs on the site but I need the Talkgroup stuff and same with king William new stuff
