Is it possible to only hear one particular ID under LTR trunking in this scanner? I have an LTR system programmed with an ID of 104198 in the ID list. Problem is I get a lot of traffic from other groups like 104081 and 104091. How can I lockout those ID's or get the scanner to only listen to the right ID. The instructions are weak in this department. I noticed a menu feature that says L/O ID Review, however it says nothing is programmed in there. How can I put those unwanted ID's away for good?

Are you in ID SCAN or ID SEARCH mode?

The L/O ID REVIEW feature in your menu does exactly what it's titled as. It will let you review LOCKED OUT talkgroup ID's. If you were searching id's on a TRS and just started locking out active id's you'd have no idea how to get them back. Well you go into the menu and into l/o id review and it will show you every id you locked out. That's all that thing does.

It really almost sounds like you're in ID SEARCH mode rather than ID SCAN. Does it say SCAN or SEARCH when you're sitting on a trunked system?

I guess my question is how do I lockout these unwanted ID's? I cant find that feature in the manual. When Im in the trunked bank and i press scan it says scanning, not searching. Also then, how would i toggle into ID scan or search modes?

When you're in trunked mode and monitoring a trunked system and its locked onto the control channel, all you have to do is either press the SCAN or the SEARCH button to do either one. If you have no talkgroup id's stored in your scanlists then it'll say ERROR if you press the scan button. At that point all you can do is search until you add id's to your list.

I don't know what to tell you. Honestly you should not be hearing any talkgroups when in scan mode except for those that you added yourself. The L/O button will lock out talkgroup id's.
