Bcd-996xt programming

I am trying to program the Palmetto 800 system into a 996xt scanner I just purchased. Can some explain to me how to program this system which is a large multi-site system with many talk groups into this scanner which limits you to 20 groups per system. I also want to program certain sites and groups which are local to me. I am using Freescan.

It would be easier to just download the system, sites, and TGID's into Freescan from the database

I had a similar predicament with the Illinois statewide trunking system - simply too much stuff for the scanner's lmits.

I ended up creating three separate systems - North, Central and South.

where are you going to use the radio and what systems can be heard.
i was going to set my radio for the all of florida counties and then realized its got 67 of them.
so i just set up the ones i would ever be near.
